Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure aiming to harmonize the shape of the nose with facial proportions. While some patients prioritize aesthetic expectations, others may also have functional issues like breathing difficulties. Therefore, the evaluation is individually planned, considering parameters such as skin thickness, cartilage-bone structure, septum deviation, nasal valve stricture, and previous operation history.
Those with a protruding nasal bridge, drooping tip, or asymmetry
Those experiencing breathing difficulties accompanied by deviation/valve stricture
Those who require correction in terms of shape or function after a previous rhinoplasty
A comprehensive examination includes examination of internal structures via nasal endoscopy, photography, and (if necessary) radiologic evaluation. The patient's facial proportions and the influence of adjacent structures such as the jaw, cheeks, and cheekbones are considered together. The goal is to achieve a result that supports natural facial expression while avoiding an artificial appearance.
Open or closed techniques can be preferred. Septal deviations (septoplasty), increased volume in the lower turbinates (concha), and nasal valve strictures can be addressed in the same session. The techniques used are determined based on the patient's tissue characteristics, skin thickness, and the desired changes.

When functional problems (deviation, concha hypertrophy, nasal valve stricture) are planned to be addressed in the same session, breathing quality may improve. The final decision is based on examination findings.
The choice of technique is made according to the patient's structural characteristics and the targeted changes; there is no single "best" method.
Limited interventions may be sufficient in some patients; however, the status of the support structures and skin thickness are decisive in planning.
With the open technique, a thin scar may be present on the columella; in most patients, its prominence diminishes over time.
